Grace: November 2013

Blogging

Since I have neglected to add anything at all to this blog in over 6 months I feel I have shown what my level of commitment to it is. However, I did think it would be a good idea to actually tell some information about my child on it. I thought I would add some of her toddlerisms that I am adoring at the moment. Grace was slow to speak (in my mind), but in the past four months she has come a long way. Here are some of the things she has been saying in the last 60 days or so that I find really amusing.

I want to hold you! ----means Pick me up!
I shut door
Twinkle, twinkle, how what you are ----is her version of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
I say mean NO! ---- means when I say no, I mean no
I do it
There's empty juice in there --- means her sippy cup is empty
Cover up me ---- means cover me up

She is speaking very slowly so a one syllable word can extend to three. French fries are her current favorite food. Hot dogs have been her longest favorite food. She loves purple. She is very into the Seasame Street characters, although she has shown some interest in Thomas the Train and Dora. She loves Super Why, which is a PBS show that feature the alphabet and the "power to read". She does a really good job with her ABC's, although she drops a letter occasionally. LMNO is hard for her right now, and she calls the letter W (double). She can recognize a lot of letters at this time, she knows her colors, and her shapes.

Airplane

And the airplane fun continues. Sean did not build this airplane for her, but he did paint it to model after his grandfathers Piper that he had when Sean was a child. His Grandfather apparently scared his pants off in that plane:) Sean is a nervous wreck when he flies.

Kangaroo

Grace visited the zoo with my brother John and his wife Heather on November 6, 2013. She had a great time with the kangaroos. She calls one Barli, which is one of our dogs names. She may have been a bit confused.:)

Doctor Visit

Grace was playing with an activity cube that was warped and twisted, but she was completely intent on it. Ends up she had an ear infection:(

Family Promise Charity Golf Ball drop
